Thanks for visiting! :) My name is Taylor Smith and I am Miss America Organization contestant. I was crowned the 2010 Miss Elk City this past year and had the honor of representing the area of Elk City at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. In addition, I was the 2008 Miss Elk City's Outstanding Teen and the 2009 Miss South OKC's Outstanding Teen. Being in pageants is alot of work but it's much more than glitz in glamour, behind all the beauty, is all the smarts and the good hearts that every girl in this system uses to make our state and our nation a better place to live. We each have a wonderful opportunity to build a platform (something that we are passionate about and can relate to) , and we each share it to our own communities and to other communities in our state. My platform, which was built in 2005, is "Stranger Danger" and I plan on making a difference by doing all sorts of new things to keep people involved in making the state of Oklahoma a safer environment to live in by keeping children and young women prepared and aware. I cannot wait to see how well communities come together to make our children feel safe and ultimately avoid being the victim of a violent crime.
